Obituary of Ronald Keith Atwater

Ronald Keith Atwater, Sr. -79, of Stellarton, born March 27, 1941, passed away May 7, 2020. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Keith and Helen (Wallace) Atwater. Surviving are his children, son, Ron K. Atwater Jr., Linacy; daughter, Rhonda (Atwater) MacNeil, Stellarton; grandchildren, Adrian (Sarah), River John; granddaughter, Melissa, London, Ontario; great-granddaughter, Olivia, River John; brothers, Reid, St. Andrews, New Brunswick; Alan, Victoria, British Columbia; Bob (Margie), Linacy; sister, Carol, New Glasgow; many nieces and nephews. He was a pipefitter by trade, and worked at Scott Paper mill for many years. He also drove truck for Eastern Transport, Coca-Cola and N.G. Express. Ron belonged to a group called Adult Day Center in Lourdes, that he loved to attend 2-3 times per week. While there he enjoyed music, people, playing cards, helping everyone…special thanks to Lea, Kim, Casandra and all the volunteers. Sincere thanks to Dr. Rivera, 4th Floor Nurses, Dr. Sharma – Internal Medicine, the Palliative Care Nurses and Dr. Kwasnik for all the support and care they gave our Dad. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. www.mclarenfuneral.ca
