Obituary for Ronald Lindsay
Ron Lindsay, a resident of Dresden, passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus, on Friday, July 17, 2020, at the age of 89. Ron is the son of the late Albert and Myrtle (Pengelly) Lindsay. Beloved husband of Wendy Lewis. Loving father of Carol VanRuymbeke (Larry) and Alan Lindsay (Julie) and step-father of Shawn and Rebecca Lewis. Cherished grandfather of Tara Stapleton (Greg), Tanya Marcolin (Greg), Kari Marin (Steve), Kristy Lindsay. Great Grandfather to Carter, Sierra, Morgan, Kyla, Hudson, Leevi, Blake and Tyler. Predeceased by his sister Helen Manning and his brothers Frank, Grant and Wilfred. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews as well as his furry friend Willow. Ron was a long time employee at Libbey St Clair, Wallaceburg and a part time school bus driver. He loved travelling and enjoyed camping all across North America and enjoyed many Cruise vacations. The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg on Monday from 2 – 6 PM and on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 from 12 noon until time of Funeral Service in the chapel at 1 PM. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, reservations are necessary and may be made by clicking here > signup.com/go/Cxiugzn < or by calling the funeral home. Masks are required in the funeral home as is social distancing with people not in your bubble.
