Robert’s Obituary
SMITH, Robert Oscar – 80, of Barrington, formerly of Upper Wood’s Harbour, passed away on July 28, 2020 at Bayside Home. Born in Port Saxon on November 30, 1939 he was a son of the late Leonard and Bernice (McKay) Smith. Robert enjoyed fishing, hunting, 4 wheeling and drinking with the boys. He loved his time spend at Bayside Home, mingling and chatting with the other residents. Robert is survived by his wife, Pauline Smith of Upper Wood’s Harbour; son, Joseph Smith of Doctor’s Cove; grandson, Noah Smith and sister, Shelia Hines. Besides his parents, Robert was predeceased by his brothers, John and Charles Smith and sister, Bertha Hunt. Pauline would like to thank Dr. Yee, nurses and staff of Bayside home for their compassion and care. Arrangements have been entrusted to H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service. Memorial donations may be made to Bayside Home or charity of your choice.
