Robert James Gallagher
1948-2020
Our Dad passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 30 at his home in
Fredericton. He is survived by his daughters Andrea Gallagher-West
(Mark) of Woodstock and Lisa Gallagher-Fall (Tim) of San Antonio,
Texas and his sister Sandra Allain of Woodstock. He leaves behind his
beloved cat Miss K.
He was predeceased by his parents Jean and James Gallagher;
his grandparents Kathleen and Lee Carpenter and Bruce and Mabel
Gallagher.
Bob was born in Newburg on January 2, 1948. He lived many
years in Woodstock and worked as a millwright at St. Anne Pulp and
Paper in Nackawic.
Bob had a love of animals. He owned Morgan horses and
participated in horse shows. He loved to read and go out for walks. He
was a good cook and he made the best homemade pizzas.
Lisa and I want to thank our mother and stepfather Carolyn
and Allison McBride. Their friendship and support of Bob meant a great
deal to him. Even though no longer married, Carolyn and Bob both said
they had two wonderful daughters together.
Our Dad often had stories about him and Sandra growing up.
When their parents passed away they had each other and even though he
may not have told her, he loved her and thought of her
often.
My wish for my Dad was always that he have good life. For
those who knew Bob, I want people to remember the good things about
him and have good memories. He was a kind person and he taught me the
strength I have and to always be compassionate and caring to others.
My Dad is at peace now and there won’t be a day go by that I
won’t think of him and miss him.
Love Annie
For as long as my memory takes me I have always been a
Daddy’s girl, from getting my rubber boots on to follow him out to the
barn as a little girl to taking him for road trips each time I visited
as an adult. I will always cherish those memories with my Dad. His
journey through life hasn’t always been easy so I pray now for his
mind and soul to be at peace.
Love & Miss You Already,
Daddy’s little girl Lisa
There will be no visitation or service at this time.
