Obituary of Robert Frederick Fleet
Age 84, Ecum Secum, died Sunday, October 25, 2020 in St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital, Sherbrooke. Born in Halifax, July 26, 1936, he was a son of the late Charles and Lillian (Salter) Fleet. Bob served in the Black Watch of Canada in his younger years, was employed with O.P. Mosher and drove a truck in New Glasgow for several years. He was a resident of Highcrest Nursing Home for the past six years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and in his spare time did woodworking. Survived by daughters, Debra (Brian) Haley, Kentville; Marie (Risca) Francis, Dartmouth; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Lorraine Watt, Ecum Secum; sister-in-law, Margaret, Calgary, Alta. Predeceased by his wife, Shirley; sister, Marie Rosemond; brother, Bill; brother-in-law, Harding Watt. Cremation has taken place; a graveside committal will be held Thursday, October 29th at 2 p.m. in St. Barnabas Cemetery, Ecum Secum.
