Robert Bobby Z Zahrebelny Tuesday April 21st 2020 avis de deces

In Loving Memory of
Mr. Robert ‘Bobby Z’ Zahrebelny
February 8, 1953 – April 21, 2020
The family announces with heavy hearts and great sadness the sudden, but peaceful passing of Robert (Bob) Zahrebelny (Bobby Z) on Tuesday April 21, 2020 in his home.
Bob is survived by his mother Anne (Serwatuk) Zahrebelny of Parry Sound, his children Lisa (Terry) Clarke of Matheson, Stephen (Amy) Zahrebelny (Matheson) and Joanne (Al) Bordeleau of Matheson, his grand-children Jennifer (Quinlan) Peever, Savannah Duggan (Gordon Draper), Thomas Zahrebelny, Max Bordeleau and Bradley Bordeleau, his great grandson Connor Fynn Peever, his siblings Paul (Karen) Zahrebelny of McKellar and Eugene (Roselana) Zahrebelny of Mississauga. He was predeceased by his father Stephen Joseph Zahrebelny. Bob will be missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Bob was born on February 8, 1953 in Toronto to father Stephen Zahrebelny, who predeceased him and mother Anne (Serwatuk) Zahrebelny. He grew up in Mississauga with 2 younger brothers. He later married and had his 3 children and moved from Mississauga to “the great north” Georgian Bay area, and in the early 2000’s moved to “the greater north” Black River-Matheson where his children now lived.
Bob was a driven and motivated blue-collar man with an unmatched work ethic. He was a smart, funny, fun-loving, generous and a genuine soul. He loved talking unions, health and safety, sports, politics and religion and was always ready for a friendly debate. He was an avid sports fan, often making calls by yelling at the game on TV and boasted his love and loyalty to the Boston Bruins, Toronto Blue Jays and Indianapolis Colts, regardless of where they were in the standings. He will be fondly remembered for his creation of the game Moose Hockey and his Super Bowl get togethers, his love of overly excessive bon-fires and his fireworks obsession. Bob loved to spend time with his family and especially the “boys” hunting, fishing and the popular May long weekend boys get away. Bob’s family meant the world to him. He had movie dates with the grandkids, and he spent a lot of time just hanging out, always ready to help, whether it be piling wood, polishing silver, swinging a hammer or just to have his extra hand there. Bob also loved his 4-legged family member Fisher, his loyal companion who kept him active by putting on a lot of walking miles. Bob touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In memorium donations may be made to the Lakeland Long Term Care in Parry Sound, Ontario, the Alzheimer’s Society or the Salvation Army and would be appreciated by the family.
A Celebration of Life for Bobby Z will be held closer to the summer months and when the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.
