The family announces with great sorrow his unexpected passing at the Timmins & District Hospital on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at the age of 69 years. Beloved husband of Rose (nee McIntyre). Cherished father of Melissa Bastin (Robert Collins), Steven (Melanie) Bastin, Kevin (Gina) Bastin, Curtis (Theresa) McIntyre and Ivan (Jennifer) Robillard. Proud grandfather of Crystal Bastin-Nantel, Matthew & Jasmine Bastin, Tyler & Skylar-Julie Bastin, Evan Vanier & Noah McIntyre, Brittany, Breanna & Brayden Lacroix and AbbyGayle Lefort. Brother of Elizabeth Edgar, Jon (Laurie) Bastin, Edward (Paige) Bastin, Vicky (Doug) Baird, Trish Quackenbush (Dan), Terry (Diana) Bastin. Predeceased by his parents Eric and Kathleen Bastin, his son Shawn Bastin.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Remembrance donations to the charity of your choice would greatly appreciated. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
