O’Brien (Arseneault) passed away peacefully in Fredericton
on December 19th, 2020 at the age of 89 and
joined her husband of 64 years in heaven whom she greatly missed. She

NB.
Rita is survived by
her three children, Maureen (Punk) Daigle, Michael (Mona)
O’Brien and Patti (Donnie) Wilson; her seven grandchildren,

Rita worked at the
Department of Employment and Immigration where she welcomed all
newcomers to Canada with open arms. She never met a stranger. She was
passionate about spending time with her grandchildren who referred to
her as “Nana”. She enjoyed helping others, getting pampered
by having her nails and hair done and loved playing with babies. She
brought joy to everyone around
her.
A celebration of life
will be held at a later date in place of a funeral or service due to
the ongoing social restrictions regarding Covid-19. The family would
like to thank the staff at the Chalmer’s Hospital 3SW for
their care and compassion, who spent extra time making her feel
special in her final days.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Rita Marie O’Brien 19312020..
