Richard Power
1934-2020
The family of Richard Power of Dunville,
Placentia, sadly announce his passing on the evening of November 30,
2020 at the age of 86 years. Predeceased by his parents, Ned
and Bertha Power, sister Mary Vaughan, granddaughter Catherine
Parsons, niece Patti Chapleau and brother in law, Paul
Donnelly.
He leaves to
mourn, the love of his life, Mary, as they recently celebrated their
61st wedding anniversary. His daughter, Lorraine Parsons
(Fred), son Ed, brother John (Theresa), sisters Anne Gesiakowski and
Nora Black. Missing him also are his granddaughters, Sarah
Parsons and her precious little ones, Charlotte and Olivia, that were
the apple of his eye, Carlie and Natalie Power.
As well as his adopted Donnelly family, Gina (Brad),
Dan (Colleen), Rita (Alan), Bernard (Jan), brothers in law, Pat (Jane)
and Tom (Shirley).
He will be
fondly remembered by his large circle of relatives and numerous
friends.
Dick, as he
was known around town, was certainly a good man. His passion for his
family and the love for the great outdoors was what made him so
special. He lived for the adventures to his hunting camp
with his best friend, Ron Dunphy, where they enjoyed fishing and
hunting for many years. Dick worked in Argentia for over 34
commendable years and when he retired from the base, started his own
business of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning service and
repair.
He always had
a kind word, the patience of a saint and made time for anyone who
needed his help.
Those

Don’t go
away,
They walk beside us every
day.
Unseen,
Unheard
But always
near,
So loved, so
missed
So very
dear.
The family will
hold a private celebration of life at a later
date.
