Richard “Dick” Douglas Cunningham
81 years
Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Pioneer Manor.
Beloved husband of Gail Cunningham (nee Vaillancourt). Loving father of Lorie Cunningham (Matthew Galliford). Dear son of Gerald and Antoinette (nee Dusseault) Cunningham both predeceased. Dear brother of Michael (Floriane) and Patrick (Bertha). Dear uncle of Robert, Christopher, Nicholas and Danny Cunningham. Sadly missed by many cousins, relatives and friends. Dick was a graduate of the North Bay Teachers College in 1962, graduate of Laurentian University with a Bachelor’s Degree in 1971 and a graduate of University of Toronto with a Masters of Education. He worked for the Sudbury R.C.S.S. Board as a teacher and principal from 1962-1995. A member and president of the Sudbury Catholic Principal’s Council, a founding member of the Catholic Principals Council of Ontario and he served in several capacities at Holy Redeemer Parish. Well done good and faithful servant you have earned your just reward.
Funeral Mass

Holy Redeemer Church
1887 Bancroft Dr., Sudbury
Monday, November 9th, 2020 at 10am.
(Friends may gather at the church after 9:30am Monday)
Cremation with interment in the Civic Cemetery.
Donations to the Holy Redeemer Food Bank would be appreciated.
Due to the COVID-19 directives, facemasks are mandatory in the church with social distancing.
Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home.
