Obituary of Rhoda Gillespie
Passed peacefully away at the Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Friday, November 27, 2020, Rhoda Gillespie of Carbonear, age 98 years.
Predeceased by husband: John; parents: Isaac and Elizabeth Power; brothers: Hedley, Oscar, Joe, and Ernest; sisters: Myrtle, Ann, Hilda, Clara Belle, and Violet.
Leaving to mourn, one daughter: Karen (George) Butt; two sons: Don (Murley) and Paul (Linda), all of Carbonear; six grandchildren: Brian (Michelle), Krystal, Kathy (Mike), Neal (Christine), Annette (Sheldon), and Johnross; six great-greatgrandchildren: Daniel, Andrew, Justin (Jessica), Jenna, Mallory, and Alex; one great-great-granddaughter: Grace; also a large number of other relatives and friends.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private visitation will take place at Noel’s Funeral Home, Carbonear, followed by funeral service at Bethany United Church, Carbonear, by invitation only. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear.
