Phyllis’ Obituary
Passed peacefully away surrounded by the family she loved and who dearly loved her, Phyllis Freda Evelyn Burt (nee Strong), on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at the age of 85 years. She leaves to mourn with many loving and precious memories: husband of 66 years Obadiah; children: Evangeline (Raymond) Inness, Pauline (Paul) Warford, Don (Cynthia), Kevin (Michelle), and Randy (Cindy); son-in-law Rob Burt; grandchildren: Sheldon (Sidney), Ashlee (Steve), Evan (Lucille), Zachary (Melissa), Danielle (Paul), Joshua (Kim), Melanie (Matt), and Jared; great grandchildren: Aaron, Matthew, Henley, Ronan, Evelyn, Rachael, Jack, Chloe, Beau, and Chase; and sisters: Jean Burden and Evangeline (Earl) Snelgrove; as well as a large circle of extended relatives and friends. Phyllis was predeceased by: daughter Catherine; grandchildren: Daniel, Clare, and Andrew O’Regan; great grandson Isaac Homewood; sisters: Rhoda, Ethel, Hazel, and Geraldine; and brother James.
Cremation has taken place and due to Covid-19 restrictions a private service for family and invited guests will be held at the Salvation Army, Stephenville with interment to follow at Hillside Interfaith Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Phyllis’ memory may be made to the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital foundation.
