PHOEBE ROSE LAYBOURNE (FLYNN)
OCTOBER 20, 1928 – OCTOBER 11, 2020 (Age 91)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many, Phoebe Rose on October 11, 2020. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by Ron, husband of 72 years and children, Cal (Kathy), Wayne (Kate), Lori (Hugh), Ronda (John), along with 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Phoebe was born in Perry Siding, BC on October 20, 1928. She and Ron met and married, April 2, 1949 and eventually moved to Ponteix, Saskatchewan to farm where Ron was born. In the late 60’s they moved to Rossland, BC until they retired and moved to her beautiful Nelson where they resided at their little piece of paradise on the north shore.

“Phoebe had the most beautiful love story. Almost like something out of a movie. Seventy two years and counting was the amount spent with her prince charming. The nicknames, he called her Buttons, she called him Darling. The way he looked at her with such love. His girl, his wife, his princess, his love. She has left him, his heart is heavy, but one day they will meet again, because their souls are meant to stay together…Until we meet again”!
A celebration of Phoebe’s life will be held in the summer of 2021. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity and thank you from the Laybourne Family!
