Obituary of Phil Johns
Phil passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on Saturday, October 17, 2020. Born in Toronto, Ontario, on March 16, 1944, Ronald Phillip Johns of Owen Sound, at the age of 76.
Beloved husband of Debra Johns (née Tassie) for 23 years. Loving father of the late Robert Johns, Sheri Johns (Adam Brewster) of Sauble Beach, James Johns (Tamara Bren) of Guelph, Alana Thorn (Tom Dyer) of North Bay, and Peter Thorn (Sally Cordeiro) of Bellwood. Cherished Grandpa of Chance, Lorelei, Alexis, Shelby, Anissa, Aiden, Dale, Matthew, Amanda, Travis, and Great-Grandpa of Leah, Allison, Mason, Hudson and Hunter. Dear brother of Ted Johns (Sylvia) of Ottawa, Barbara Gerden (the late Joe) of Colorado, and brother-in-law of the late Pamela Tassie. Also missed by his two loving kitties, Baby and Brandy.
Cremation is taking place and memorial visitation will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 2-4 p.m. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, 50 people will be allowed in the building at any given time and visitors are required to wear a mask and follow physical distancing rules. A private graveside service will be held at Springcreek Cemetery, Mississauga, at a later date.
