Hickingbottom, Peggy (nee
Hewitt)
Passed away at Guelph General Hospital on Wednesday, March 4,
2020 at the age of 89 years. Beloved wife of the late Arthur
Hickingbottom (Mar.3, 2019). Proud and loving mother of her
children and their spouses; Roy and Marlene, Shane and Susan, Scott
and Michelle, Melanie and the late Russell. Cherished
grandmother of Brooke (Brent), Ryan (Smita), Eric (Bianca), Andrew,
Lucas, Erika, Emily and Antonia. Great grandmother of
Malkin, Nya, Reid and Ryleigh. Peggy was also the dear
sister of Sherrie Plante and the late Janet Sullivan. She
was a huge Toronto Maple Leafs fan and could never get enough of dog
cuddles. The family extends a warm “Thank you” to
the staff at LaPointe Fisher Nursing Home for their care. A
celebration of Peggy’s life will be held at
GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre
& Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street,
Guelph on Tuesday, March 10 at 2:00 p.m. The
family will be available from 1 – 2 p.m. for visiting prior
to the service. If desired, memorial contributions may be
made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to Diabetes Canada in memory of
Peggy. We invite you to leave your memories and donations
