Obituary for
Paul Emile Berthiaume
BERTHIAUME, Paul Emile
The family announces with great sorrow his passing at HSN in Sudbury with his family at his side on Friday, July 3, 2020 at the age of 77 years. Best friend and partner of Ann Neuts (née Hindson). Son of the late George Émile and of the late Gertrude (née Lagüe) Berthiaume. Loving father of Luc (Darlene Bennett), Alain (Sheila), Lynne Berthiaume (Rob Dunn) and Annie Berthiaume (Serge Dunphy). Dear brother of Yvette Daoust (late Roger) and Aimé (Hermance Veilleux). Predeceased by his siblings René (Rollande), Aline Lefebvre (Sylvio) and Yvon (Jeannine). Cherished grandfather of Hannah, Tyler, Abbie, Kelsey, Paige, Morgan and Julia. Special grandfather to Riley, Braeden, Lydia, Cameron and Kate. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Paul had a big heart and boundless energy. He lived to help others and his faith was a driving force in his life. He was a volunteer firefighter and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Vallee Centre. He was a dedicated barber in Chelmsford for 50 years who gave many first haircuts and candy. Being a barber gave him the opportunity to connect with his community and to boast of his favorite NHL team the Montreal Canadians. Throughout his life he loved fishing, hunting, building or fixing things, camping with friends and family, and gardening with his favorite person Ann. Spare time was spent having family get togethers, catching up with friends over coffee, and watching grandkids playing sports. He had a special place in his heart for each grandchild. Due to the current pandemic a private gathering will be held at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, Chelmsford. A private funeral Mass to be held at the St-Joseph Church, Chelmsford. Donations can be made by cheque or online to the Sudbury Food Bank. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
