Patricia Mary MacDougall
North Sydney
Age 59, North Sydney, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 25, 2020, with family and friends by her side.
Born in Glace Bay, September 20, 1960, Patricia was the daughter of Archie and Anne Theresa (MacNeil) MacDougall of Dominion. She is survived by her sister Donna (Brian) Eastwood of Saint John, New Brunswick. Patricia was predeceased by her parents, family friend Patsy Browner, the love of her life Patrick Chaisson, and her fur babies Snowball and Nukka.
A graduate of Macdonald High School and University College of Cape Breton (Paralegal), Patricia’s career took her to Halifax, Labrador City and back to Cape Breton. For the past 20 years, she was employed in various supervisory roles within the local call centre industry, most recently The Sydney Call Centre Inc.
Throughout her illness Patricia credited her friends and family as being her lifeline, her means of daily support. She referred to “The Fab Four” (Colleen Matthews-Symes, Sharon Johnston, Krista White and Eric Young) as her core support group. Their unwavering dedication, along with Fred Jabalee and extended family, made it possible for Patricia to give cancer a run for its money.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney. A graveside burial service will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Immaculate Conception Church, Bridgeport, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Patricia requested donations to the Cape Breton Cancer Centre Patient Care Fund, or a charity of your choice.
