Obituary of Orville Charles Crane
Orville Charles Crane was born in Nipawin, Saskatchewan in September 1974 to Paul and Doreen (Nee: Pelly) Crane. Orv passed away peacefully July 9th, 2020.
Orville was raised, educated, and resided in Cumberland House until his passing. He loved spending time with family and friends. He loved people and his ways of expressing his love was by teasing. He was also very witty, bringing laughter into our lives.
Orv was employed by the Northern Village as a bingo caller and radio announcer where he was well known for his native tunes on the radio. He was very humorous with his blurbs on the radio.
He also spent countless hours helping families at wake and funeral services in our community. He helped at weddings, family functions, and community events. He was always ready and willing to help out individuals when he saw the need. He loved listening to gospel music in his alone time.
Orv touched the lives of numerous people from all walks of life with his loving and compassionate nature. The void he leaves in our hearts and lives will be filled with cherished memories; he will be greatly missed.
Orville is survived by his only Brother, Clifford (Rhea) Crane; their children: Ramsey, Adrian, Krystal, Kristen, and Ciera; 9 nephews and 7 nieces; and numerous great nieces and nephews; his brothers and sister in laws; his many cousins, too numerous to mention.
Orville leaves a legacy of treasured memories to his many friends which we dedicate as Honorary Pallbearers.
Orville was predeceased by his loving parents, Paul and Doreen Crane (which he greatly missed), his maternal and paternal grandparents, uncle Tom Pelly, the Crane uncles and aunties.
The Crane Family would like to extend a great appreciation to all the overwhelming support the Cumberland House and Cumberland House Cree Nation and Shoal Lake residents have provide to us by your prayers, emotional support, visits, calls, contacts, and financial supports.
