Orlo Arthur Wheaton
1939-2020
Orlo Arthur Wheaton, 81, of Parkland Monarch Hall, Riverview,
NB, formerly of Trites Road, Riverview NB, passed away on December 18,
2020 at his residence. Born April 6, 1939 in Wheaton
Settlement, NB, he was the son of the late Claude and Lucy (MacLeod)
Wheaton.
Orlo was retired from a 40-year career with the T. Eaton Co.
and Sears Canada. He attended the Prosser Brook Baptist
Church and was a member of the Salisbury Legion.
Orlo loved to be in the mountains of Prosser Brook cutting
wood for the winter and hunting deer in the fall with his special
uncle Jack Lane. He loved nature and the outdoors and
enjoyed fishing, hunting and vegetable gardening. His large
garden would provide vegetables year-round for friends and
family.
Orlo had an easy-going and understanding nature and he was a
very kind and caring man. He would do anything he could to help a
friend, family, or neighbor and he would always be there when anyone
was in need. He faithfully provided love and
support, and his love was felt deeply by his family.
Orlo will be sadly missed by his wife of 60 years, Carol
(Prosser) Wheaton; his son Kevin (Michael) of Toronto, a very special
niece and nephew, Dawn and Stephen DeCoste, his great-niece Erin
DeCoste and great-nephew Alex DeCoste all of Riverview; one brother
Robert (Bob) Wheaton of Calgary; and several nieces and
nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Donald and Merle and by
four sisters, Iva Skinner, Greeta Blakeney, Betty Hallihan and Opal
Wheaton.
The family would like to thank the staff of Monarch Hall
during this difficult time. It meant so much to us to have
the attentive care and support.
By request, a Family graveside service will be held at a
later date. Final arrangements are entrusted to the care of
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center 330 Whitepine Rd.
Riverview (869-2007).
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Orlo Arthur Wheaton 19392020..
