Passed peacefully away on Friday, April 17th at home with her family by her side Myra Josephine (Josie) Handcock, age 81 years. Predeceased by her Husband Alph Handcock, Parents Owen and Myra Chatfield Turner, Brother Ralph Turner. Left to mourn her two sons Tony (Liz) and Greg (Cindy), Brother Stan Turner, Sister-in-law Dolores Turner, Brother-in-law Gordon (Margaret Rose) Handcock, Sister-in-law Catherine Babstock, many nieces and nephews and a large circle of family and friends. Mom was a kindred spirit who really loved to have a good laugh. She loved it when friends and family visited and she could whip up a meal fit for a king in minutes and of course you had to have tea. She loved playing cards and board games with her friends and I know she treasured those moments. Mom and Dad were never apart and spent a lot of time at their cabin, berry picking and riding on quad with their friends. Mom was also a devout Christian who loved going to church and always supported any fundraisers, donated baked goods, knitted items and was always there to help in times of need.
Resting at Oram’s Funeral Home, Eastport. Burial to take place Monday, April 20, 2020 at 2:00pm for immediate family only. No funeral service at this time, celebration of her life to be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Holy Cross Cemetery Fund.
