Muriel Pauline Cook Smith passed away on Wednesday, December
9, 2020 at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville. She was born
July 15, 1931 and was the daughter of the late Alban and Marguerite
Page. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband,
Walter “Babe” Cook; siblings, Elinor (Stephen) Haywood, Glen
(Marie) Page, Naida (Raymond) Cook, Dalton Page; brother-in-law, Alton
Fox.
Muriel is survived by her husband, Hugh Smith of Hartland;
children, Doug (Darlene) Cook of Ashland, Nancy (Geoffrey) Haynes of
Niagra Falls, ON, Susan (Ray) Culberson of Waterville; grandchildren,
Marcia (Eric) Versloot, Scott (Michelle) Cook, David Creaghan, Kara
(Andrew Williams) Creaghan, Katelyn (Corey Crouse) Culberson, Jessica
(Dawson) Kent; great grandchildren, Charlee, Noah, Sawyer, Emmett,
Casey, Willow; stepson, Randi (Rhonda) Smith of Ashland; step
grandchildren, Amanda Smith, Cassie Smith, Sommer Smith, Mason Smith;
step great grandchildren, Aaron, Logan; sister, Donalda (Irvine
Curtis) Fox Curtis of Fredericton; brother, Floyd (Helen) Page of
Coldstream; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Britton Funeral Home 2 High
Street, Hartland on Friday, December 11, 2020 from 4 to 6 p.m. the
funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 12th at 1:00 p.m.
from the Hartland Baptist Church with Pastor Dan Austin officiating.
Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Hartland. If so
desired, donations can be made to the Greenwood Cemetery or the Heart
and Stroke Foundation. Due to COVID -19 restrictions, masks and social
distancing are required. Funeral seating is limited on a first to
arrive basis.
