McCarrel, Mildred passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Southampton Care Centre on Thursday March 19, 2020. Mildred Iona McCarrel (nee Rae) of Port Elgin at the age of 99. Beloved wife of the late Thomas McCarrel. Loving and proud mother to Marian Ransome, Patricia and her husband Brian Chapman, Joan and her husband Earl Nieforth, and the late Ray McCarrel. Proud grandmother to Ken, Melissa, Amanda, Dianna, Kevin, Stacey, Stephanie, and Teresa, and great grandmother to 18. Predeceased by her parents Roy & Zella, by her brothers Russell & Arnold, by her sisters Jean & Marie. A Family Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Spring interment to take place at Sanctuary Park Cemetery, Port Elgin. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Society or to the charity of your choice. The family would like to thank the Southampton Care Centre for their kindness and compassion.
