“Mike the Barber”
of Arthur passed away suddenly at the Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus on Friday, April 3, 2020 in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of Elizabeth “Liz” (Stepaniuk) for 47 years. Dear father of Ryan and Tina Mehlenbacher of Arthur, Julie and Gary Rothwell of Fisherville, Jenna and Dan Siegrist of Owen Sound. Loving papa of Alexzandria, Ty, Chrissy, Lea, Simon, Charlie and Oliver. Brother of Brian and Debbie Mehlenbacher, Linda Volk and Nancy Northrup. Brother-in-law of Marilyn Mehlenbacher. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his father David Ryan, his parents Clarence and Peggy Mehlenbacher and siblings Dave, Gwen and Norm. Mike was the local Barber in Arthur for 45 years and was often found sitting on the front porch with his dog Capone. To honour Mike’s wishes cremation has taken place.
The family held a private family memorial service in the Crawford Funeral Chapel, Arthur. A celebration of life will take place at a later date and will be announced at that time.
