It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Michelina Lamantia-Oakes on Sunday, July 26th, 2020 at Hospice Simcoe with loving family at her side. Mickie Oakes at the age of 67 loving wife and best friend of Mark Oakes and mother of Colin (Kelly) Oakes and Alison Oakes. Proud Nonna of Charlie. Mickie is also survived by her father Lawrence (the late Tina) Lamantia, her brother Mark (Laurie) Lamantia and nephew Michael Lamantia. Friends and family will be received at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME, 445 St. Vincent St. Barrie (just north of Cundles Rd.) on Wednesday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Parish Prayers will be held at 8:45 p.m. A Funeral Mass which all are invited to attend will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 65 Amelia Street, Barrie on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at 10 o’clock. The Funeral Mass will also be live streamed through the following link at 10 o’clock www.facebook.com/st.marysbarrie/live Memorial donations to Hospice Simcoe would be appreciated by the family.
