Michele (Mike) Fabrizio
November 6, 1926-December 20, 2020
Michele (Mike) Fabrizio passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on December 20, 2020 at the age of 94 in the home that he and his late wife, Teresa, built 47 years ago. He is survived by his loving daughter Ana (Andy) and son Dan (Ella). He was an influential grandfather to his three beautiful grandchildren, Michael (Magdalena), Julianne and Matteo.
Having come from very little, Michele accomplished a lot by learning from watching others, refining those skills as his own, and generously affected the lives of people around him. A hardworking and determined man, who was always in charge, he passed down the tricks of his trade through building, wine making, gardening and hobbies. Michele’s building acumen forever lives on in the homes and buildings in our area. His combination of “Mer-lot” and Moscato wines was savoured by his many friends and family. An avid gardener, with his makeshift irrigation system, he produced “organico” cantaloupe, watermelon, and peaches – a testament to his innovation to show the fruits of his labour. He kept a pulse on world news by commenting on the CNN ticker and knew the world of sports through jabs and knockouts. All who had the pleasure of knowing him will miss him dearly.
The family extends sincere thanks to the medical community, especially Dr. L. Yu, for their loving care and compassion.
In keeping with Michele’s wishes, cremation will take place and a private family funeral will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you show humility during these tough times, albeit through a smile or a Thank You. Plant a tree or a garden in his memory.
We will miss you greatly Papa and Nonno. Thank you for always doing the best you could.
“Goodbye Jack”!
