Mary McIntosh (Melnyk)
On October 24, 2020, Mrs. Mary McIntosh passed away at the age of 91 years.
Mary is survived by her loving family, daughter, Patricia (David Martin) of Lethbridge, AB; son, Michael, daughter-in-law, Wendy and granddaughter, Maria of Calgary, AB; brother, Tom Melnyk (Lorraine); and sisters-in-law, Ann, Lorraine, Olga and Florence Melnyk; as well as numerous relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, John McIntosh; parents, Onufrey and Jessie Melnyk; brothers, Demitro, Onufer, Walter, Sam, Gerald, Boris, Danny and Edward; sisters, Pearl Slywka, Rose Russel and Helen Melnyk; brothers-in-law, Bill Slywka and Tom Russell; sisters-in-law, Anne, Kay, Rose and Beatrice.
Mary was a long-time member of St. Andrew’s Ukrainian Orthodox Sobor Parish, and had been active with the Parish Ladies’ Auxiliary, Choir and Golden Age Club.
Public Visitation Wednesday, October 28 at 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private family funeral will be held and livestreamed Friday, October 30 at 10:00 a.m. at www.parkmemorial.com. Interment in St. Vladimir’s Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Elk Point, AB. Donations may be made to St. Andrew’s Ukrainian Orthodox Sobor Parish or a charity of one’s choice.
