Marjorie Jean Munro 1941 2020

Obituary of Marjorie Jean Munro
Passed away Saturday, April 11, 2020 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born to beloved parents, the late Hoyt and Mary (Dukeshire) Frost of Bear River East, Annapolis County.
I married my best friend, Lawrence Eugene and was married for 49 years, before he predeceased me. The family I leave behind are my wonderful sons and their lovely wives, Steve (Phyllis), Alan (Karen) and Chris (Valerie); my precious daughter, Cyndy; my grandchildren, who were all dearly loved, Adam, Alyssa, Kyle, Samantha, Nancy and Shari Lynn; step-grandchildren, Sherry and Damen; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Barry; sisters, Vivian (Welsford Munro), Evelyn (Donald Hayden), Ethel (Robert Green); nine nephews; seven nieces; sister-in-law, Myrna Pearce.
Predeceased by brother, James; sisters, Sylvia and Janice; a nephew; a step-grandson.
On May 14, 2000, I became a born-again Christian through the blood of Jesus Christ who died on the Cross of Calvary to pay the sin debt for all humanity. He has been a wonderful Savior to me, has held my hand through all the trials and tribulations of my life. Now I go to live with Him in the heavenly kingdom for all eternity, to share in all the riches He has promised for those who believe and have asked forgiveness for their sins. John 3: 16-18 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believeth in Him is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God”.
To my earthly family, I leave behind the memories that we shared over these many years. The laughter, tears, good times and the bad times. Though I may not always have shown it, you were all dearly loved. Remember me in love and not tears. Remember I always said that when tears start they never seem to stop, so keep smiling and loving each other.
To my wonderful church family, I have loved you dearly and been loved by you. Thank you for the many years of fellowship that we shared. Do not grieve for me but celebrate the Love and Mercy of God that we shared while I was with you. Rejoice as I go home to Him and await your coming, (with those who have gone before me). Goodbye until we meet again.
To the friends that I knew in other venues of life, I valued your friendship very much.
My favourite Bible verse: Isaiah 40: 31 “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert Street, Windsor (902-798-8317). There will be no viewing at my request, and no funeral service. My family will share a private goodbye as we did with my beloved “Laurie”, once restrictions around COVID-19 are lifted. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Coldbrook Baptist Church, 1392 South Bishop Rd., Coldbrook, NS B4R 1BY.
