Marjorie Ida Hannam
1925-2020
Marjorie Ida Hannam – 94 of Kentville, passed
away peacefully with her family at her side Tuesday, May 26, 2020 in
the Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville. Born in Parrsboro, she
was a daughter of the late Colby and Ida (Hunter) Smith. She was an
officer in the Salvation Army achieving the rank of Captain and was,
over the years, an active member of the Kentville Corp. of the
Salvation Army. She was a devoted wife, mother and Nan. She is
survived by a granddaughter, Cindy (Bryan) Turner, Kentville; a great
grandson, Ethan Turner; a brother, Curtis (Rose) Smith, Parrsboro;
many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her
parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Carolyn Wyman; three
sisters, Jean, Myrtle and Dorothy; four brothers, Edgar, Carl,
Allison, and Hartley. Unfortunately, there will be no visitation at
this time. A private graveside service and burial will be held in the
Riverside Cemetery, Bridgetown. Major Ross Grandy officiating. A
celebration of life will occur at a later date. Donations in memory
may be made to Kentville Salvation Army or the Evergreen Home for
Special Care Resident Society (for palliative care). Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home,
Kentville.
