Obituary
It is with broken hearts the family of Marilyn Lorraine (Kirk) Williams, wife of Victor Williams announces her unexpected passing which occurred on Thursday, November 19, 2020.
Born in Saint John, NB on August 13, 1953 she is the daughter of Verna (Machum) Kirk and the late Ronald Kirk. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her brother Marvin Kirk; brother-in-law Constable Norman Atkins; father and mother-in-law Bruce and Georgia Williams.
Marilyn worked as a legal secretary for Gilbert, McGloan, Gillis Law Firm for 24 years.
Marilyn was a lifetime member of the NB Antique Auto Club, Valley Cruisers and Road Race Lincoln Club. Marilyn and Victor travelled across Canada in 2017 in their ‘36 Ford Coupe.
She loved horses and watching horse races with her dear friend since childhood, Elaine. She also enjoyed metal detecting especially with her youngest grandsons. She was the family photographer, genealogist and enjoyed bringing the family together at every opportunity.
She was so proud of her boys and cherished her time spent with her grandchildren, especially reading nightly bedtime stories.
In addition to her mother Verna, she is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 44 years, Victor; her sons Kirk Williams (Teri Fullerton) and Ryan Williams (Jenny Clark-Genier); cherished grandchildren Lincoln, Kolton, Breanna, Taylor, Alex and Danielle; sister Bonita Liston (Welman); sister-in-law Jill Atkins; nieces Bronwyn, Naomi and Wendy and one nephew Andrew.
A private family graveside service will take place at Harding’s Point Cemetery.
Due to the pandemic, a celebration of life will be held in the spring.
Remembrances in memory of Marilyn may be made to Bobby’s Hospice or James H. Williams Community Hall.
