Memorial Donation
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Marie Pike (nee Osmond) announce her peaceful passing at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques on Friday, December 25th, 2020 at the age of 87 years. Born in Port aux Basques, NL, Marie was the daughter of the late Reuben and Hannah Jane Osmond (nee Lomond). She was also predeceased by her husband Eric Pike and son; Dennis Pike.
She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her loving sons; Garfield (Brenda) Pike of MacKenzie, BC, Ross (Debbie) Pike of Labrador City, daughters; Brenda Pink of Port aux Basques, NL, Diane (Roger) McNeil of Moncton, NB, sister; Myrtle Naugle of Eastern Passage, NS, daughter-in-law; Susan Skeard of Port aux Basques, NL, and she was blessed to have a large circle of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Marie loved spending time at her cabin outside in Macdougalls, she was very active and enjoyed doing things on her own, she loved knitting and was a very sociable woman who enjoyed spending time with friends and loving family.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 27th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home Inc. (Downtown Location). Interment will take place on Monday, December 28th, at 11 am at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill officiated by Rev. Jane Allen. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marie’s memory can be made to the St. James Anglican Church Cemetery Fund.
