Obituary for
Marguerite Mary Mullin (Eden)
Marguerite Mary Mullin – 92, Thorburn, passed away on July 8, 2020 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Gaspe, Quebec, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Gertrude (Robinson) Eden.
We lost the beloved matriarch of our family. The best storyteller, hug giver, cookie baker, romantic advisor, joke teller, dance teacher and friend.
Her home was always filled with music, love, and laughter. She loved to tell her and Kenneth’s love story, incessantly teasing the love of her life until his death. Their marriage showed us what true love looks like.
As a devoted wife and mother, she was always busy, raising her children and providing a warm, welcoming home for extended family and friends to visit. She enjoyed working as a waitress at Fletchers Restaurant for many years and was well-loved by staff and patrons.
Survived by sisters, Greta (Harris) and Dora; children, Brenda (Clarence) Dennis, Brookfield, Walter (Suzanne) Mullin, Plaster Rock, NB, Valerie (Wayne) Ste. Croix, Gaspe, Que, Todd (Bonnie) Mullin, Thorburn, NS; daughter-in-law Charlynn Mullin. Beloved Gram to 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She also leaves behind her best friend Donna MacIntosh and the special pets in her life, Louie, Lilly and Chumi.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by the love of her life Kenneth, son Charles and grand-daughter Tracie Dennis.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions, there will be a private visitation and funeral service held on Monday, July 13th in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro. The service will be live-webcast beginning at 1:58 p.m. (Atlantic time) with Pastor Ron Ruse officiating.
With kindness in her heart, to anyone and everyone, she was always asking, “Do you need anything?” In her memory, the family suggests, in lieu of flowers, doing an unexpected, unsolicited act of kindness for someone in need. She lived her life in service of others, and made an impact on the world with a million small acts of kindness, and what a beautiful legacy to remember her by.
