Obituary of Margaret Isabelle Purves
The passing of Margaret Isabelle Purves of Fredericton, NB, wife of Gary Purves, occurred on Friday, November 27, 2020 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on April 19, 1945 in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Queenie (Peacock) Parlee. Margaret worked as a Social Worker for the Province of New Brunswick. She was also a member of the YMCA Aquafit and the ODG Group.
Margaret is survived by her children, Kyle Purves (Tamie) of Fredericton, NB and Kerri Comeau (Marc) of Oromocto, NB; grandson, Paul Comeau (Martina Dykeman) of Charters Settlement, NB; great granddaughter, Paisley Comeau; half brothers, Allen, Rodney, Scott and Gary Rail, and Gaston Fernette; brother-in-law, Randy Purves (Karen); sister-in-law, Lisa Purves (Steve Edwards); special mention, Joe Pearce; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was predceased by her birth mother, Doris (Brown) Rail.
A Private Family Graveside Service will take place in Sunny Bank Cemetery, Fredericton, NB at a later date. Also a Celebration of Life Event will be held at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association or charity of the donor’s choice.
