Adoring Great Grandmother of Darius, Cameron, Emerson, Quinten, Aliyah, Penelope, Lily. Mia, Clare, Peyton, Jack, Savannah, Iris and Cedar
Older sister of 2 deceased brothers Ernie (Marcie), and Jack (Winnie)
Treasured aunt to many nieces and nephews. Margaret was the first female child born at the Kerrobert Hospital in Saskatchewan. From a small prairie farm, Margaret moved with her parents and two brothers to the Kitchener, ON area farming community of Haysville in 1939. Marg’s Post Graduate studies took her to Galt where she achieved a secretarial diploma. During her employment with the government, but also working at the Dominion store, Marg met Al.
Margaret married her lifelong husband “Al” of 54 years on May 6, 1946. Marg will be remembered in Watford ON where she took up residence with Al and did the bookkeeping for Burns Bros Food Market of Watford…. every penny counts.
She was an ardent lover of the Jays, Leafs, golf and a weekly dedicated fan of the Watford Legion Ball Team
Many nights of Euchre with family and friends highlighted her social life.
Shortbread, date squares, cookies and perfect pies, Marg’s recipes from her Scottish Mom have been handed down and sweeten her family’s lives forever. None can replicate her art as far as family are concerned.
Marg’s recollection of the past and present were second to none. She could recall stories that intrigued young and old alike in her family.
Marg was up on current news, sports and happenings in Watford even up to last week. Crosswords and Suduko puzzles kept her mind sharp with quick memory recall. Marg lived her life during bookends of pandemics, from the Spanish Flu to the continuing Covid 19 Crisis. She lived a great and full life.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the wonderful teams of medical professionals who cared and comforted Marg through her final days.
As per Margaret’s request, a private family interment will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to DENNING’S OF WATFORD. As an expression of sympathy and condolences, donations may be made to Watford United Church, Watford Legion Branch 172 or a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be posted on www.watfordfuneralhome.com.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Margaret
