Margaret’s Obituary
O’Neill, Margaret Watia ~ Age 91, of Berwick, formerly of Waterville, Kings Co., passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on April 12, 1929, in Berwick, she was a daughter of the late Wilfred and Annie (McInnis) Saltzman. Margaret had worked hard to help operate the family farm supporting her family in every way she could. She was known for making the best brown bread. Margaret will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are son, Robert O’Neill, Rockland; daughter, Doris Anne (Darrell) Geddes, Waterville; grandchildren, Christine, Carla, Stephen, Randy, Heather and David; great grandchildren, Jordan, Dontae, Aniyah, Desiree, Aneisa, Triton, Ariel, Logan, Chelsie, Austin, Tyler, Ava and Hunter; great-great granddaughter, Scarlett. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brother, Alfred “Bub” Saltzman; sisters, Shirley Saltzman in infancy; Ruby (William “Bill”) Postdown; nephew, George Postdown. There will be no visitation. A private service for immediate family will take place at Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448, with Pastor Christina Bigelow officiating. Interment will take place in Berwick Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in her memory may be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Diabetes Canada.
