Marcel Rochon
1956-2020
Rochon, Marcel – It is with great sadness that the
family announces Marcel’s passing on Tuesday September 29,
2020 after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 64.
Devoted husband of 40 years of Louise (nee Audette) and proud father
of Benoit (Joelle) of Sudbury and Sophie (Elayna) of Ottawa.
Beloved son of the late Berthe and Henri Rochon. Son-in-law
of Maurice and the late Anita Audette. Dear brother of
Henriette (Gerry), Jacques (Lorraine), Laurent (Marie Therese), Lynne
(the late Paul) and Monique (James). Brother-in-law of the
late Michel, Lise, Helene and Jeannine. Favourite uncle of many nieces
and nephews. Marcel’s favourite season was fall;
an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and hunting with his son and
many friends. He was a loyal employee of Loblaws and
recently retired in 2020. The family would like to express a
heartfelt thank you to the neighbours, nurses and Grand River Oncology
team. A Celebration of Marcel’s life will be
arranged at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to
the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
