MacNeil, Josephine Eunice (Coleman)
January 8, 1938 – November 17, 2020
Josephine was born January 8, 1938 in Shannon, New Brunswick, the eldest child of John and Eunice Coleman. She always had fond stories and memories to share of growing up. At 16 she headed to the big city of Toronto to start the next chapter of her life. It was there that she met, fell in love and married her husband of 62 years, Wally. Through out their life and travels, Josephine made easy friends everywhere she went. She had a kind word for all she met, she was a very kind, loving and compassionate. Her family was her most precious possession and that extended to include the many friends over the years.
Josephine is predeceased by both her parents, her sister Glenna, brother in law Doug, sister in law Annie and brother Jack.
She leaves to mourn her loving husband Wallace, her son Jim (Donna) MacNeil, her daughter Shelley (Terry) MacEachern; according to her, the 5 best grandchildren; Chad (Danielle), Lindsey (Nathan), Sean (Madelaine), Craig (Ricki-Lee) and Brianna. And the newest joys of her life her great grandsons Connor and Kinnon. She also leaves her youngest sister Bertha (George) and her nieces and nephew who she loved very much. Her love and strength will live on in us forever.
Her family would like to thank Dr. du Toit for his compassionate care of Jo. We would also like to thank the staff at Griffiths Medical and all those that were so caring during her journey at LCH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alberta Lung Association 17420 Stony Plain Rd #208, Edmonton, AB T5S 1K6
