Mom (Lucie) was the third oldest of 21 children. At a very young age she learned to cook, help her father around the lumber yard camp, and help her mother care for all of siblings. As she grew older she worked at various jobs eventually fate would have her answer an ad in the paper and settle into farm life. She followed her dream and moved to St Claude and met her husband. They farmed 4 miles N/W of town and raised 4 children. She stayed very busy with cattle, turkeys, chickens and grain, along with a host of other little jobs outside the home (door to door sales, working at the hotel, concession stand at Belle Isle, and starting a catering business) and was always available to volunteer when help was needed. Her many passions include a love for curling, collecting and selling antiques and gardening. She always had fresh peas in the garden for when the grandkids came, and coffee ready for anyone coming for a visit. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
A private family service will be held at Adam’s Funeral Home on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 1 p.m. followed by interment in the St. Claude Parish Cemetery. The funeral service will be webcast for family and friends to view.
