Obituary of Lorna May Vardy
Lorna May Vardy (nee Fair) of Belleville, passed away at QHC-Belleville General Hospital on Saturday, August 29, 2020 in her 86th year. Daughter of the late Charles and Freda Fair. Beloved wife of the late Ernest “Ernie” Vardy.

Dear mother of Connie Vardy (John Crundwell) of Cornwall, Linda (John) Bunner of Wasaga Beach, Iris (Dan) Zawada of London, Lee (Brenda) Vardy of Hamilton; Kevin (Roxanne) Vardy of Trenton, Barton (Diane) Vardy, and Stephen (Jennifer) Vardy all of Belleville; and Rebecca (David) Stewart, of Ancaster. Cherished grandmother of John (Emily) and Andrew (Angela) Bunner, Erin, Laura, Peter, Amber (David), Stephanie, Esther, Nathan and Joshua (Melanie) Vardy, and Bethany, Brandon (Jennifer), Matthew and Mitchell Stewart. Lorna is also remembered by her great grandchildren, Valerie, Meredith, Stuart, Lewis, Astrid, Cooper, Hudson, Willow and Jaxson. She is survived by her sister, Norma (Allan) Sills of Mississauga, also by her sisters-in-law, Gloria Fair and Lillian (David) Fyn. She is predeceased by her brother, James Barton Fair.
The family wish to thank the staff of QHC-Belleville General Hospital and staff of Belmont Long Term Care for their excellent care and kindness.
The Family have chosen to have a Private Service. Interment at Belleville Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel (613-968-2273). Current regulations on attendance limitations can be found on the Bereavement Authority of Ontario website.
The Service will be livestreamed to the Steele Funeral Home Facebook Page on Tuesday, September 1st at 1:00 p.m.
