BRUCH, Loraine
It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our mom, grandma and friend, Loraine. Loraine passed the evening of September 23, 2020 with family by her side. Emma Loraine Bruch (nee Piller) was born in 1927 in Neudorf, SK. In 1951 Loraine married Allan Bruch and together they had 2 children, Bonnie and Keith. Loraine and Allan farmed for several years in Killaly, SK before moving to Regina. There, Loraine was a homemaker, landlady and outstanding volunteer. Her faith led her and Allan to Christ Lutheran Church where she helped organize and run many programs. As well, she was an original volunteer and organizer for the Regina Lutheran Home Auxiliary for which she was awarded and recognized in 2010. In 1996 Loraine and Allan moved to Saskatoon and enlarged their circle of friends within St Volodymyr East Court and Redeemer Lutheran Church. Loraine’s ready smile, positive disposition and kind words made her friends easily. At the same time, she was not afraid to stand her ground when confronted with a point of principle. The last years of Loraine’s life were difficult with dementia. However even with this challenge her smile, humour and occasional feistiness endured. Loraine was predeceased by her husband Allan in 2005 and her brother Gordon Piller in 2006. She is survived by her daughter Bonnie (Dan) Willms, son Keith (Alexandra), grandchildren Bryan (Tracey), Angie (Rick), Sarah (fiancée Matt) and Leon, and great-grandchildren Kylie, Owen, Mason and Finn. A Private Family Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, October 5, 2020. For those wishing to watch the service, live-streaming will be available at: youtu.be/tc6pl1uhJXM .
