Obituary of Lizzie Steen
It is with sadness that the family announces the death of Elizabeth “Lizzie“ Alberta Steen, wife of the late Leon Steen, which occurred on Friday, October 16, 2020 at the Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sus. She was born on July 27, 1933 in Hunter`s Home, NB, a daughter of the late John and Isabelle (Perry) Wood.
Lizzie is survived by her children: Kenneth (Jacky) Steen, Nora Mitton, Betty Ann Steen, Bonnie Bougerolle (Darren), Peter (Karen) Steen, Robert (Carol), Heidi Jardine (Kirk), William (Mildred); grandchildren: Jennifer, Anna, Melanie, Andrew, Matthew, Timothy, Alex, Ryan, Mackenzie, Amanda, Jeffery, Duane, Dallas; great-grandchildren: Daniel, Kyle, Keegan, Emma, Hannah, Hayden, Holden, Landon, Alexis; brothers: Charles Wood (Marjorie), Jerry Wood (Judy); sister Hilda Thorne (Ron); as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband Leon, she was also predeceased by her brothers Earl, Beverly; sisters: Dorothy Beach-Daigle, Vera Jeffrey and Bernice Sleep.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sus, NB (506) 433-1176. Due to COVID-19, Lizzie`s funeral service will be held privately. Interment will be held at Riverbank Cemetery.
