Linda was a loving wife, a selfless, kind mother and friend, and a compassionate midwife. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday October 21st after a brief but brave battle with cancer.
She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, sister-in-law, daughter, daughter-in-law, aunt and friend. She is predeceased by sister Patricia Gostlin, survived by her husband David, parents Henrietta and John, children Cassandra (Michael), Mitchell (Rachel) and Cale (Neesh), siblings Kris and Kim, nieces Kelly, Tanya, Meagan, Deanna, Katie, Rachel, Sarah, Emily, and great nieces Kyra, Calista, Emma, Alivia, Addelynn and Charlee, and nephews Josh, Jacob, Matthew, great nephew Trevor.
To know Linda, she loved empowering women through her career as a midwife and touched countless families’ lives over the past ten years. She lived life to the fullest, from raising her children, seeking out travel and experiences and giving much of her love and life to her extended family.
Linda told her family that the worst thing we could do would be to grieve her death, so instead we will celebrate her life, remembering the love and selflessness she always embodied.
Private Visitation for Family Members will be held on Sunday, October 25th between 2:00 – 4:00p.m. Memorial donations in memory of Linda can be made to the Durham Regional Cancer Centre at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
