Lillian’s Obituary
It is with saddened hearts that the family of Lillian Campbell announces her tragic passing in Wentworth, N.S. on Sunday, April 19, 2020. Lillian was the beloved wife of Michael Hyslop and cherished mother to Chas Hyslop of Whitehorse, Yukon. Lillian lived her life with grace and kindness. A true adventurer, she lived, worked, and explored Canada from sea to sea to shining sea. She and Michael retired to Nova Scotia from Whitehorse, Yukon in 2014. She embraced her new province with her usual vitality creating a beautiful home and garden, exploring many of the beautiful sights and taking in new activities, while connecting with the warm people of Nova Scotia. Lillian and Michael loved going to the many beautiful beaches for day trips and she was so happy to spend each day at the beach in Florida this past winter. She was courageous, generous, determined, quick-witted and gave the best hugs. Lillian was the dearly loved eldest child of the late Donald and Freda Campbell of Glengarry County, ON and later Kelowna, B.C. and the dear daughter-in-law to the late Bob Hyslop of Wentworth, N.S., the late Eleanor Hyslop of Toronto, ON, and dear stepdaughter-in-law to Carol Hyslop of Wentworth, N.S. She is survived by her siblings, Leona, Betty (Norman MacLeod), Gord (Debbie), Jean (Kevin Matthews) and Brenda (Blake Johnson); sister-in-law, Robyn (John Rood); brothers-in-law, Jon (Laura), Marc (Liliana); nieces and nephews, Alisdair, Katrina, Lindsey (Nabeel), Kyle, Colin, Ciara, Waverly, Gisselle; grandniece, Emery and grandnephew, Nixon.
