SMITH, Lewis Wilson (P.Eng) – Passed away peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Friday, December 25, 2020. Lewis of Peterborough, formerly of Toronto and Scarborough, was 91 years of age.
Beloved Husband of the late Norma (nee Johnson) for 53 years. Loving father of Gary (late Anne), Tom (Shelley), David (Shannon) and James (Karen). Proud grandfather of Thora, Erik, Bryan, Freya, Jonathan, Olivia, Nina, Brienna, Bronwen, and Joseph. Great grandfather of nine.
Dear brother of the late Victor (surviving wife Mary). Lewis will be remembered by his dear friend Pat Burden, and many other relatives and friends.
Lewis spent almost his entire 40-year career as an engineer at Purity Packaging in Peterborough. An avid sailor, when he wasn’t working, he was on his boat. He and Norma sailed to Florida many times.
A private celebration of his life will be arranged. As expressions of sympathy Lewis’s family would appreciate a charitable donation to a charity of your choice.
