Obituary of Leonard George Hannon
Passed peacefully away on October 24, 2020 at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Leonard George Hannon at the age of 66 years. Leonard is predeceased by his parents, Marion and Leonard Sr.; brother, Thomas; sisters, Phyllis Mills and Neta O’Toole. He leaves to mourn his wife, Bernice (Reid); and special nephew, Corey Pinsent. Also left to mourn his sisters, Margaret (Bob) Sheppard, Cavell Foley, Barbara (Wayne) Pelley, Sharon (Arnold) Feener, Debbie (Perry) Bridger, and Judy (Jim) Snow; sister-in-law, Jean Hannon; brother-in-law, Jim O’Toole; his dear friend Johnny; as well as a circle of other relatives and friends.
Len was born on January 13, 1954, one of 10 children, to Marion and Leonard Hannon. He lived in Bishop’s Falls most of his life and married Bernice Reid in 1977. Together they raised their nephew, Corey, whom they loved and adored. Len worked mostly as a baker and spent much of his time decorating cakes and painting. He also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and fishing, and was an avid golf lover. He will be remembered for his joking around and great sense of humor. He will be sadly missed but forever remembered.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the memorial service will be private. Thank you for understanding.
