Obituary of Lee Blizzard
Mrs. Carolyn Lee Blizzard was born on January 22, 1940 in Fredericton, NB; she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Laura (Randall) Kitchen.
Lee was the epitome of a true artist. She created beautiful works of art, whether it was in the form od oil paintings, poetry, music or quilts. She had a passion for gardening and a love of flowers.
As a young child, all Lee ever wanted was to have her very own horse. She and Bob married in 1960, and in 1967 they moved to Sus and purchased the family farm and her very first horse. Thus, starting the amazing tradition of each of her children getting the opportunity to grow up on a horse farm. She was still riding horses three years ago until her health no longer allowed her to do so.
Lee loved her family and that of course included her quarter horse, Abby and her pride and joy, her cat, Winnie.
Lee was a strong, kind and loving stay at home mom, raising her 6 wonderful children. Bob and Lee took over Baird’s General Store in the 1970’s which she loved running until he retirement in the 1980’s.
She will live on in the hearts of her loving husband, Robert; her children: Susan Chestnut and her husband Cliff of Apohaqui, Debbie Perry and her husband Kevin of Woodstock, Marsha Blizzard-Crowell and her husband Kevin of Nauwigewauk, Shelley Blizzard of Sus and Michael Blizzard and his wife Jolene of Moncton; 9 grandchildren: Genevieve Blizzard, Natasha Chestnut (Liam Mather), Nicholas Chestnut and his wife Melissa, Kory Crowell, Hannah Plant, Emma Plant, Jennifer Torunski and her husband Branden, Sophie Blizzard and Maxium Blizzard and 2 great grandchildren: Oliver Torunski and Kingsley Mather.
Mrs. Carolyn Lee Blizzard of Sus passed away on January 22, 2020 at the Sus Health Center on her 80th birthday.
Along with her parents, she is predeceased by her son, Ronnie Blizzard.
