Obituary of Kristel Marie Andjelic
After a courageous fight with cancer, passed away Tuesday, December 8th in her 37th year. She was a wife (Ivan), Mama (Tiana & Mila), daughter (Cathy & Al Roth), sister (Jenn Parsons), sister-in-law (Adam Parsons), Aunt (Kasey Parsons), daughter-in-law (Snezana & Alex Andjelic), sister-in-law (Peter Andjelic), granddaughter (Bea Schultz), niece to Aunts & Uncles, many cousins here and in Serbia, friends from grade 1, University and coworkers.
From the moment Kristel was diagnosed in January 2019, she kept her head held high and in true Kristel fashion she dissected the information through thorough research and transferred that into self-advocation. With each step she was required to take medically, Kristel would muster up an admirable inner strength, smile and laugh with her girls and “dance in the kitchen” in the most carefree way.
Her journey over the last few years introduced her to many new friends who were so kind and willing to share their own journeys with her in hopes of providing some assistance to ease her path. One lovely girl (Nada), now an angel, gave her support, care packages and encouragement to fight.
Kristel had a passion for life. She soaked in the rainbows and sunsets and danced through the gloomy days.
The family will have a private service at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Stoney Creek. Donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated. Notes of sympathy and condolence may be left at www.donaldvbrown.ca
