Kenneth Elliott Davison
1941-2020
Kenneth Elliott Davison – 78, of Gaspereau Valley,
Kings County, passed away on January 4, 2020 in the Valley Regional
Hospital, Kentville, with his devoted family by his side. Born in
Wolfville, Nova Scotia on October 22, 1941, Kenneth was the son of the
late Alfred and Edith (Schofield) Davison. Kenneth was one of sixteen
children who grew up in Greenfield, Kings County. Kenneth took great
pride in being a professional painter and drywaller throughout the
Annapolis Valley for over 55 years. No matter what job Kenneth did,
his sense of humour enlightened his co-workers for years. Kenneth was
a proud member of two tug-a-war teams, Valley Sport and later
Gaspereau Valley. Having brothers and valley boys that worked so hard
growing up, resulted in a team of strong champions and close friends
that excel for many years and still to this day! He was a dedicated
Montreal Canadiens fan, all of his life and loved to joke and tease
Leafs and Bruins fans. He always showed interest in pirate stories and
treasures, especially the mystery of Oak Island. Always wanting to be
on that island, this dream came true with a trip in 2016. He took
great pleasure in crokinole, cards, family outings and the BIG family
trip to Florida. However, of all these, his most precious gifts were
his grandchildren. We will remember him for his jokes, storytelling
and laughter. Ken’s message to everyone…”Love you
all. Miss me but let me go!” He is survived by his loving
wife, Judy (Lyon); son, Bernie; daughter-in-law, Angela;
granddaughter, Kori; grandson, Duncan; dog, Shera; sister, Ruth (Joe);
four brothers, Laurie (Shelia), Charlton (Shirley), Chesley (Terry),
Paul; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was
predeceased by son, Carmen; five sisters, Pauline, Marietta, Dorothy,
Madeline, Myrtle; five brothers, Lawson, Murray, Bedford, Roscoe and
Leo. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation, by
request. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m.
Saturday, January 11, 2020 in the White Family Funeral Home,
Kentville, Reverend Gary Manthorne officiating. The family would like
to express sincere appreciation to the doctors and nurses at Valley
Regional Hospital for their compassionate care. Burial will take place
at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to
Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or Valley Regional Hospital. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and
Cremation Services, Kentville.
