Obituary of Kay VanNetten
VanNetten, Cornelia “Kay” of Terrace Lodge, Aylmer passed away peacefully at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 in her 101st year. Beloved wife of the late John Van Dixhoorn(1968) and the late Andy VanNetten(1989). Loving mother Andrew Van Dixhoorn(Thelma) of London, Ina Hooghiem(late John) of Aylmer, Dirk Van Dixhoorn(late Nancy) of Salford, John Van Dixhoorn(Connie) of Manitoba and the late Adrian Van Dixhoorn. Mother-in-law of Bernice of B.C. Step mother of Tina Rauwerda, Dorothy Hielma, Rose Admiral(George), Ellen McKenzie(Hal), Winnie Winkel(Henk) and Jack VanNetten. Grandmother of Mark(Sharon), Darlene(Graham), Bill (Carlotta), Kathy(Tom), Rob(Tracy), Ann Marie(late Johan), John, Dirk, Gwen(Andrew), Jennifer(Andrew) and Rob. She will be missed by many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a grandson Tim, sister Sara and brother Case. Born in Axel, The Netherlands on June 28, 1920, daughter of the late Dirk and Levina (Witte) Schuitvlot. Kay enjoyed living at Heritage Place for many years and was a devoted member of the Aylmer Christian Reformed Church. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, friends and family who wish to attend the visitation on Friday starting at 6pm at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home or the service on Saturday at the Aylmer Christian Reformed Church can call the funeral home at (519 773 8400) to register(masks required). Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
