After a brief battle with cancer, heaven called up another angel. Kathryn Cowin, loving wife for over 52 years to William Burritt Cowin, passed peacefully on Tuesday, June 23, 2020. Beloved mother to Deborah Lynn Cowin and William Burritt Jr. Cowin. Cherished grandma to Kelsey Anne Cowin, Kylie Rose Cowin and Abby Lynn Cowin. Sister to Gerri Hyde and David Fulton. Predeceased by parents Rose and Charles Fulton and brother Robert Fulton.
Kathryn was an avid reader. She always wanted to go for long drives! She loved to travel, trips to Hawaii, Cuba and Las Vegas (but not to gamble, just for shows!) were among her favourites. She was a proud ‘super fan’ of her grand-daughters softball and hockey games.
Thanks to LHIN Mississauga-Halton, Heart House Hospice, Dr. Gilchrest of the Dorothy Ley Hospice, and Care Partners. Special thanks to all PSWs, Occupational Therapist Gunjan and especially nurses Nadia, and Nora who went above and beyond in helping Kathryn and us. And an extra special thank-you to Nataliya for coordinating things.
