Obituary for
Karlo “Jack” Korri
It is with tremendous sadness the family of Karlo Korri at the age of 70 years old announces his passing after a long courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday September 29, 2020. Karlo will be lovingly remembered by his wife Geraldine Korri. Missed dearly by his two daughters he proudly raised on his own Lisa (Jeffrey) and April (Denis), his step-daughters Tracelle and Kim (Phil). Fondly remembered by his three precious grandsons Myles, Tryston and Taylor, along with two granddaughters Brea and Tessy. Lovingly remembered by his sisters Linda, Elaine, Irene, Wilma and brother Eric. He will also be forever remembered by his lifelong pal Alpo Palomaki. Karlo was predeceased by his parents Eva Luhtala and Jack Korri.
Karlo was born and raised in the Porcupine area. He spent many years of his life working in various mines, logging and for the City of Timmins. He will be remembered for his kind soul and “gift of gab”. He gave his life to the Lord, studied the bible and shared his knowledge to anyone who would listen. He was an active member of First Baptist Church. He has now gained his angel wings. He will be buried with his mother at Dead Man’s Point. Funeral service will be held on Monday October 5, 2020 at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Friday October 2, 2020 at LESSARD-STEPHENS FUNRAL FROM 7-9 p.m. Respecting the current pandemic provincial guidelines, social distancing and maximum capacity will be in place. Remembrance donations to the First Baptist Church would be greatly appreciated.
